Who to Vote For in the HSE School Board Elections
Four candidates who stand for academic excellence and parental authority
This post is meant to be shared with friends and family to encourage them to vote. And it’s a chance for the many new subscribers who have just joined us to catch up with some of what has happened over the last year. I will update this post with new information about the election as we approach November. Please share it!
The election this November is extremely important. There are four open seats, and if we elect four reasonable board members, they will make up a majority on the seven-member board. If we do that, then I am hopeful that the new board can address the problems I’ve documented on this blog. For example:
No more keeping secrets from parents about their own kids
No more drag for fifth graders
No more promoting Critical Race Theory (and lying about it!)
No more talking to elementary school children about anal sex
No more porn and other such material for children in the library
No more ridiculous policies that prohibit saying “hey guys!”
No more creepy surveys polling your kid’s political positions
No more denial of legitimate agenda item requests
No more lying to parents
No more district leaders calling for people to break the law
No more undermining of parents’ religious values
No more wasting money on racist and anti-American trainings
With four new Board members, we have a chance to put an end to all of this, and put the focus back where it should be: on academic excellence, respecting parental authority, restoring trust with the community, and restoring fiscal responsibility.
You will be voting for just one of our four candidates depending on which district you live in. Let me introduce you to our four outstanding candidates.
And please share this post!
District 1: Tiffany Pascoe
Tiffany Pascoe is running in District 1. She is a Marian grad, and currently works as a manager at a private distribution company. She serves as a Hamilton County Tourism Commissioner, Precinct Committeeman, and Delegate. Tiffany also volunteers for (among other things!) the Youth assistance Program, the Fishers Arts Council, Meals on Wheels, Third Phase, and The Riverview Foundation. She is an active member in the Hamilton County GOP and the Federation of Republican Women, and she led as Co-Chair of the GOP Club.
Tiffany believes in putting the needs of students first and in listening to parents and legal guardians. She wants to return the district to focus on academic excellence, and she plans to do this in a fiscally responsible way with no new taxes. Tiffany is a long-time resident of District 1. Find out more about her here:
District 2: Juanita Albright
Dr. Juanita Albright graduated from Penn State College of Medicine in 1994. She is an Internal Medicine Specialist in Fishers, where she has lived and practiced since 2005. She and her husband Eric (who is also a doctor) have three boys: two in HSE schools, one graduated from Fishers High School last year.
Here is Juanita’s vision for the district:
My vision is to return our schools to a focus on their true purpose: a robust, top-rated education in mathematics, literature, history, the natural sciences, and the fine arts. I want our children to be exposed to the best ideas in human history, and, on matters of controversy, I want them to be taught how to think. By focusing on these shared goals, I believe we can bring the community together, awaken wonder in our students, and set them all on a path to success.

District 3: Dawn Lang
Dawn Lang is running in District 3. She’s a wife, mother of three, and a 27 year resident of Fishers. She holds a Master’s degree from Ball State, and she is the President of Perception Access Inc., “a business development consulting firm that connects business and organization leaders to strategic channel partners for actionable growth.”
Dawn says that she is running for School Board
to strengthen the Fishers community through education by focusing on education excellence, parents’ rights in education, curriculum transparency, and fiscal responsibility.

District 4: Benjamin Orr
Ben is a Purdue grad who has lived in Fishers for ten years with his wife Kelly and their two kids, who currently attend HSE Schools. Ben is a commercial insurance agent for Shepherd Insurance in Carmel, and Kelly is a nurse and unit manager at Riley Children’s Hospital.
On his website, Ben writes:
I believe that our district has drifted further and further away from a school’s core mission of academic education, and in doing so, has also lost the trust of the community. Coming from a family of teachers, and having been a youth sports coach for 15 years, I understand the unique challenges facing educators in their charge to please often conflicting groups. However, I believe that a return to academic focus at every level will alleviate much of this burden, and benefit the students, teachers, parents, and the overall community.

The Turn of the Tide
Make no mistake: with your help, we are going to win in November. But winning is not enough. We must win so decisively, so overwhelmingly, that it is made clear to all that the darkness of the last several years is at an end. Let’s send a clear message in November that we are going to turn things around at HSE Schools.
